Mt 7:7-12

If you care about and love someone, you want all that is best for that person. However, that doesn’t mean that you would give nor do everything that your loved one asks of you. “Which one of you would hand his son a stone when he asked for a loaf of bread, or a snake when he asked for a fish?” No, we wouldn’t do that. But still others may have a ridiculous request from us, and we need to be able to tell them that it is impossible for us to do or grant to them, even if they end up being disappointed or angry. I know that some people end up being disappointed with God, because he doesn’t give them what they pray and ask for. See, God is our best friend, our Father, who loves us, cares for us, and knows what is best for us, even if we don’t understand this. Just trust Him, and even if He doesn’t grant you what you want, believe that He has a good reason not to.
