After Jesus and His disciples were refused from entering a Samaritan village, the disciples became very angry, to the point of seeking revenge- “Lord, do you want us to call down fire from heaven to consume them?” And Jesus rebuked them. What do you do when facing a rejection, how do you react? Not everyone will accept us because of our political views, our religion, or the color of the skin. Some will reject us, just like Jesus and His disciples. Some will gossip about us, laugh at us, or may even hurt us. And today we learn that we should never seek revenge; we should just continue walking, moving forward and wish everyone well. This is what Jesus did.
