Even doing God’s work can be exhausting. The disciples are returning from their mission of evangelizing and are reporting to their Master what they were able to accomplish. He tells them -- now go and get some rest, you need it. We all need some time for rest and for spiritual renewal. Jesus knows that all His disciples need to get away for a while, and rest, pray and think. Only then we will be able to return to our mission with a greater power and with a joy and a fullness of God’s blessings. Take advantage of this Sunday and rest, pray, spend some time alone.
