Last Sunday we had Gaudete Sunday, joyful Sunday, because we are getting closer to meeting God. But I think that today should be Gaudete Sunday, since the Gospel reading is filled with so much joy and happiness. Mary traveled a long distance to her cousin Elizabeth to share with her some great news – namely, that God was truly in her. God was literally in her. But when we receive Jesus in the Eucharist, we also have God in us. But can we be as joyful as Mary and Elizabeth were? Do we share that great news with others? Probably not. I don’t, but I should, we all should. We all should go into this world, into our homes, schools, places of work and share with others that we too have God in our hearts.
