Recently I had a nice conversation with a person who decided to become Catholic, so he entered the program that will help him to prepare for the sacrament of baptism and other sacraments. When I asked him why he decided to do it, he said that his wife is expecting a baby, and he wants to rise their child in the Catholic faith. That’s why he wanted to become Catholic first. Isn’t this exactly what we are called to, I thought? We are Catholic, we are the ones called by the Lord, and now we should bring others to Him. Just like those first disciples. First, they were called by the Lord, then they followed Him, and finally they soon were bringing more and more people to Christ and to Christianity. Today Jesus is calling you too: “Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Think for a moment: what do you do to bring others to Christ? Do you invite others to Him by the way of life you are living?
