“Mary Magdalene went and announced to the disciples, ‘I have seen the Lord,’ and then reported what He told her.” Some believed her and some probably thought that she was crazy. How can she say that she had seen Him, since He was crucified and buried? They all saw His burial with their own eyes? I wonder what Mary Magdalene felt -- excitement, joy, happiness; but at the same she was ridiculed, rejected, maybe called crazy by others. And only a few believed Her and went back to see that empty tomb. Jesus truly was raised from the dead, just like He promised. I am sure that you have met a person that truly enjoys being with the Lord during the Eucharist and then shares that joy with friends, coworkers, and family members. If I experienced the Lord’s presence, I would say, ‘He is truly alive, He loves me, isn’t this wonderful.’ Would you be able to share your joy with someone like that, or worry that they might think you crazy? More than that -- could you just like Mary Magdalene share with others that joy of the Resurrection, or would you be afraid of being ridiculed or rejected? “Jesus said to her, stop holding on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and tell them.”
