Feast day of the Holy Family -- Mary, Joseph, and Jesus. When you check in the dictionary the meaning of the word ‘holy’, you will read that holy means dedicated or consecrated to God. Dedicated no matter what, consecrated no matter what temptations or challenges you might come across. The Holy Family from Nazareth was exactly like that -- dedicated to God and to each other to the end. Nothing was able to separate them from God and from each other. This is what we should learn from Mary, Joseph, and Jesus -- there will be moments of doubts, moments of temptations, and some very difficult times which we will experience within our family life. But if we remain faithful, dedicated, and trust God, then we will be able to overcome all those difficulties -- just like them.
