We all are blessed with different vocations. And every vocation is unique and beautiful. Perhaps you look back sometimes and think that you could have fulfilled a different vocation in life, that maybe something else would have been better. I do that sometimes when I try to imagine myself as husband, as a father with children. How would that be? Or I think that maybe I chose the wrong vocation in life. But the fact is that we don’t choose our vocations - God does. A vocation is a call from God. He has a certain plan for us - whether as a parent, husband, wife, priest or religious, or a single person. We should not look back and think -- ‘what if’? Rather we should thank God for who we are and try to learn how I can improve my own relationship with God and with another person through my vocation.
