Crowds will always follow those who have something to offer. Something more than anyone else. St. John Paul II was followed by huge crowds, our pope Francis is followed by many, because they offer the words of wisdom and love. Some great artists are followed because they can perform in a way that nobody else can. If people are hungry for something they will look for it and follow those who will satisfy that hunger. “Jesus went across the Sea of Galilee. A large crowd followed him, because they saw the signs he was performing on the sick.” Jesus can offer us more than the greatest artist of this world, He can offer us far more than the saints, He can satisfy every hunger and quench each thirst. Let us follow Jesus.
