There are many church songs about being happy and joyful. And we need to express our happiness and joy because we have Jesus. He is with us in the sacraments, in the bible, and in other persons. But are we joyful as Christians? Do you have that joy in your heart because you have Jesus? Many times, when we talk to others, they are saddened by the things of this world that are difficult on them and cause them stress. Today in the Gospel reading, Jesus asks the Pharisees: “Can you make the wedding guests fast while the bridegroom is with them?” Today we are reminded that even in the midst of some of the most challenging moments of life life, we need to be joyful and full of hope, because Jesus is with us. We also need to share that joy with others.
