Some people wrongly think that only the clergy, or the nuns, or religious are responsible for evangelization of others. That’s why they became religious people to begin with. That is their vocation. That is all true, but we and all Christians are called to evangelize and to spread the good news in this world. In the Gospel reading for today, we can clearly see that Jesus was not alone in His mission; He had his disciples -- ordinary men and women. I agree that religious people are educated and prepared to preach and teach, but that doesn’t mean that evangelization is only reserved to them. We all are called to evangelize others. “Accompanying him were the Twelve and some women who had been cured of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary, called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out, Joanna, the wife of Herod’s steward Chuza, Susanna, and many others who provided for them out of their resources.”
