Friday of the 4 week of Easter 'b'
There are limits everywhere, and especially now during the pandemic all kinds of places have limited capacity, places like sports arenas, restaurants, stores, playgrounds and even the churches. You need to call ahead, make reservations, or even do that frustrating ‘sign up’ for masses on Sunday. But even before covid, all the places in this world have limited capacity. That’s just the way it is. Even our planet is endangered by being overpopulated. All in this world is limited. It has beginning point and an end point, and there is no place that is able to accommodate all of the people. In the gospel reading Jesus is telling us about one place that has a room for EVERYONE! If we believe and follow Jesus who is The Way, The Truth, and The Life, then He will welcome us into our Father’s House in Heaven where there are no limits, no registrations, no capacities. We are all invited; it is up to us.
