Your body is a temple, a temple of the Holy Spirit -- in other words, God lives in you. I always like that image because it reminds me that my body does not only belong to me, but it was given to me by God. Therefore, now I need to take good care of it since God dwells in me as well as in every other person. We read in the Gospel today that Jesus was very concerned about the Holy Temple and got really angry when people abused that holy place by turning it into a marketplace. Today we are reminded that we need to take good care and respect our churches, our buildings that are dedicated to the worship of God. But even more than that, we are reminded that we need to take good care of our bodies and at the same time protect every human life, since they are also temples - temples of the Holy Spirit.
