Jesus said: “You will be hated by all because of my name, but whoever endures to the end will be saved.” This certainly does not sound like an attractive invitation to become Jesus’ disciple. We all want to be loved, respected and accepted by others, not facing hatred and rejection. And Jesus wants the same for you. However, at the same time, He is very honest in telling His disciples that it will not be easy to follow the Christ. We may not need to shed our blood for Jesus, but others might question your beliefs, ask you why you pray, why do you fast, why do you go to church on Sunday, and may even try to convince you that God does not exist. But remember -- whoever endures all of this to the end will be saved .
