How well do you know the scriptures? How often do you read the gospels? Most of us are familiar with certain stories and parables that Jesus preached to us, but do you take time to read them on your own, to contemplate, and try to find which of Jesus’ words are addressed to you. What does the Lord want for you in your life? We are always busy, now we are even busier with all the preparations for Christmas. In this busy world Jesus wants you to stop, to slow down, and listen to His voice. We tend to talk more than listen, even in our prayers. Maybe in this Advent season take some time to listen to the Lord, read the Gospel, meditate a little. Jesus said, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.” There will be an end to everything, but not to His words.
