Friday of the Twenty Seventh Week in Ordinary Time ‘b’

As you know, October is Respect Life Month - a month when we pray to God to protect all human life from conception until natural death. Christ teaches us that only God, the Giver of life, can take that life away. We humans, we shouldn’t and we can’t make that decision which belongs only to God. However, many people today including some Christians and even Catholics disagree with that. They say that we have the right to make that decision, that we are free, and under certain circumstances we should make the decision regarding human life - whether to save it or end it. Those people claim to be Catholics, believers, followers of Jesus. Many of them would say that they love Jesus. However, they don’t fully accept His teaching. And Jesus is very clear - He says that we either fully accept His teaching or we are not His disciples. “Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.”
