Friday of the Twenty Third Week in Ordinary Time ‘b’

“No disciple is superior to the teacher; but when fully trained, every disciple will be like his teacher.” Who is your teacher? Whose disciple are you? Are you a good student? What have you learned from your teacher? Since the day of our baptism, we became Jesus’ disciples and Jesus’ students. We will never exceed our great teacher; however we can become more like Him, we should become more like Him. Our goal in this life is to be ‘fully trained’ by our Lord, by our Teacher. He not only teaches us the theoretical part, but He shows us how put that theory into practice. Our Teacher is humble, loving, forgiving, patient. He prays often, helps those who are in need, always speaks the truth, and defends the truth and has many more qualities. Have you become like your Teacher yet? Are you fully trained, or do you still need to learn from Him? We can’t give up; we should learn from Jesus and follow Him.
