Most of us come to Mass each Sunday, some go to Mass daily to hear the word of God, to receive strength and blessing though the Holy Eucharist. We do that because we know that our mission is to go into the world and evangelize. Just like those seventy-two disciples of Jesus - they received His blessing, they listened to His words, and they believed that with Jesus everything is possible. And then after their mission they come back to the Lord rejoicing and being proud of their accomplishments. You and I also return to Jesus, present in the Holy Eucharist, to report to Him what we were able to accomplish, what good we have done for Him and other people. “The seventy-two disciples returned rejoicing and said to Jesus, ‘Lord, even the demons are subject to us because of your name.’” Are you coming back to Mass rejoicing because of your good work of evangelization, or are you sad because you forgot about your mission?
