Every Catholic, and every person who believes that Mary is the Mother of God, should be joyful. They should be joyful because Mary also became our Mother. Now, she is in Heaven very close to God and her Son Jesus, and she is able to bring our prayers to God. We were always told to listen to our mothers, and I believe that God also listens to His mother when she lays her requests before Him. We should not be sad but joyful because we can now ask for her intercession before God. I know, we can pray directly to God, but I believe that when Mary brings our prayers to her Son, He won’t say ‘no’ to her. Besides, she knows of the struggles and difficulties of this world because she also experienced them here. Our Lady of Sorrows -- pray for us.
