Some of us are blessed with more advantages than others. It can be a better job, a better position in life, more money, or extraordinary talents. Whatever these might be, we should share them with each other. There are people who are very powerful and famous because of their skills or talents. A number of these people have quite a bit of money, but they still keep investing in bigger and more lucrative projects and try to gain more and more wealth. A blind spot might be not looking at those who are in need. Today we read in the Gospel that “Jesus went around all of Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the Gospel of the Kingdom, and curing every disease and illness among the people. His fame spread to all of Syria.” Here is a very powerful Man who used His extraordinary skills and power to help others, not to gain more for himself. Jesus teaches us today that we too are called to help others.
