“But no one can enter a strong man’s house to plunder his property unless he first ties up the strong man.Then he can plunder his house.” Today people invest in all kinds of security systems and insurances to protect their property. And we do that because there is always someone out there that would try to take the opportunity and rob others. But the better the security system you have and the better the locks on your doors and windows, you will feel safer. But how about your soul, your spiritual life? Jesus is telling us today that Satan will always search for the opportunity to ‘plunder’ our souls. That’s why we constantly need to be on guard and invest in the most reliable security systems, which can only be provided by Jesus. When we invest in a prayer, the sacraments, and a good way of living, then we won’t need to worry.
