You need to be tough! You must be strong! You must fight hard in order to be successful in this world. If not, others will take advantage of you. Don’t be a loser! It seems that this is the motto of this world. And yes, if you only think of being successful in this life, that might be true -- fight and go forward. But Jesus’ philosophy is just the opposite. He wants to be successful not only in this world but far beyond this world. And that’s why He invites you and me to be humble, to be able to forgive, to help others, to give, and to love. We are invited to a different way of fighting, and this fighting is much more difficult than the one that this world invites us to. So, the question is: do you want to be successful only in this life or in life eternal?
