We all remember the words that Jesus addressed to doubting Thomas. He said that ‘the blessed are those who didn’t see but believed.’ In today’s Gospel reading, one of the Pharisees is asking Jesus to give Him a sign so he could believe that Jesus is the Messiah. No sign will be given, Jesus says. Enough signs and proofs; I have done so much for you already. Now is the time for you to do something for me -- start believing. Some people today are like that too. They will always look for a scientifically proof for faith, and they will look and ask for signs. But if there is a proof, then there is no room for faith. Jesus wants us to believe. We got enough signs already.
