Monday of the 25 week in ordinary time ‘b’

“To anyone who has, more will be given, and from the one who has not, even what he seems to have will be taken away.” I always wondered what Jesus meant by saying this. So, if someone is poor, then even what he or she has. Will it be taken from them? And if someone is rich, then will they receive even more? So unjust, right? But Jesus is not speaking about the things nor riches of this world. Jesus speaks about our spiritual gifts. And this now makes much more sense. We all have been blessed with God’s love and now we are called to multiply that love, to bring it to others. The more love we give, the more love will be given to us. But if we don’t give our love to others, we will not receive any more. We can’t waste the gifts of God.
