Monday of the 27 week in ordinary time
There are so many church commandments, regulations and laws, that if someone would ask us to repeat all of them it would be very hard. We need to understand that they were created not to limit us or to make our lives more difficult, but to make us happier people, to make this world a better place. Think about that -- if we were to just forgot all of the commandments that we have, but only remember and follow the two most important ones that are in the Gospel today, our lives would be much happier, and this world would certainly become a better place in which to live. What are these commandments, what is this perfect solution for us? Just listen to Jesus today, who is telling you: “You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your being, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.” Do we need more? I don’t think so, because I truly believe that if everybody would take to their hearts and follow just these two, this world would surely become a wonderful place in which to live.
