This world tries to tell us that we don’t need God. It will try to erase Him form our lives and try to convince us that God doesn’t exist and doesn’t listen to us. But you and I know that this is not true. God does exist and we need to continue praying, talking to Him, and calling on Him, even though others will tell us to keep silent. That was exactly what happened to the poor blind beggar from the Gospel reading today -- he kept calling and calling, even though others tried to keep him quiet, but he never gave up and that paid off for him ‘big time’. Jesus was able to hear him and then heal his blindness. We need to learn from that blind man to have patience and keep praying and calling on God. We can’t listen to others who would try to convince us that He doesn’t exist. God will make miracles in our lives too. “He immediately received his sight and followed him, giving glory to God.”
