All of us have those moments, those moments when we are just tired of arguing or explaining something and then trying to make others understand. My mom (after not listening to her) used to say quite often: “OK, do as you wish, I don’t care; but don’t come crying to me later, I tried to help!” She was saying this because she cared, because she loved me. Jesus loves each one of us, and He knows what’s best for us, but sometimes we don’t listen. Instead, we argue, and we think that we know better. And so, Jesus gets tired too at times. He may say to us also: do as you wish, I am done trying to prove it to you, and giving you a sign. You just don’t listen. If you want, you can learn from your own mistakes. “Then he left them, got into the boat again, and went off to the other shore.”
