Only the few closest people to Jesus were with Him on the way to Calvary and remained with Him until His death on the cross. His Mother Mary was one of them. Where did everybody go? Why did they run away? When remaining close to Jesus was too risky and too challenging, most of His friends decided to take a break. How about us, how about you? Do you stay close with Jesus even if things get too difficult, too complicated? Did this pandemic separate you from Jesus? Or maybe your life is too busy and you don’t have time for Him. There may be many reasons why we might not remain with Jesus. Today we look at Mary, Mother of the Church, and ask her to pray for all of us, especially those who want to run away from the cross.
