“Let the one among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” What would you do in a situation like that. Try to imagine that you are one of those who are standing there in the crowd, wondering what Jesus is going to do with that woman caught in adultery. Is He going to let her go, or will He give them permission to stone her to death according to the law? But instead, Jesus says: if there is anyone here that has no sin, then go ahead, throw that rock at her. At least they were honest, and no one threw the stone, because all of them had to admit that they too were sinners. We were not there; however, we too need to evaluate our way of living before we start judging others. Am I without sin to be allowed to throw any stones at others? Think about that, especially when you start judging or criticizing another person. Again: “Let the one among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.”
