Monday of the Ninth Week in Ordinary Time ‘b’

Sometimes we become like those tenant farmers from Jesus’s parable. We forget that what we have comes from God. We forget that we really don’t own anything including our own lives. Some people think that they can decide when to end human’s life, but it is not up to us to make such a decision, that decision belongs only to God, because He gave the life, and He knows when to end this time on earth. God- the owner of the vineyard, sent many messengers and prophets to remind people about that truth, but what did they do? We read in the parable today that they seized them, bit them, send them away, didn’t listen to them. So, the owner of the vineyard decided to send His only Son, hoping that they will respect that Son, but “they seized him and killed him, and threw him out of the vineyard.” Here is a warning to all of us today- we need to be very careful not to become like those tenants, because God will be sending us reminders that the life, we have here belongs to Him, He sent Jesus, His Son, to teach us how precious the human life is from the conception to natural death- we can’t reject that truth, we can’t reject the Son of God.
