Monday of the Second Week of Lent ‘a’

Most of you would agree with me that there is more joy in giving than in receiving. We even say this often. And it is true. It is nice when someone remembers something important about you and you receive something from another person not even expecting it. Yes, those are joyful moments. But when you give something out of love and see the joy in the eyes of another person, it brings happiness to your heart. Today Jesus tells us that we will receive what we are giving away. When? At the day of judgment. So, think today about: what do you give to others, what do you bring to the world around you? If it is love, help, respect, forgiveness, joy, comfort and all those good things, then at the day of judgment you will receive the same from God. But if you are selfish, judgmental, angry, revengeful, evil, then… you know what! “Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. Stop judging and you will not be judged. Stop condemning and you will not be condemned.”
