Jesus said “you are looking for me not because you saw signs but because you ate the loaves and were filled.Do not work for food that perishes but for the food that endures for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you.” I often wonder why in my life I look for Jesus. Why do I come to Him, why do I pray? And I realize that I do all this because I want Him to do something for me. I look for Jesus to ask for His protection, for peace in the world, for health, for forgiveness of my sins. But there are not too many times when I seek the Lord to offer Him something from me. God blesses us each day with abundant love. Yes, we can and should come to Him with our prayers. However instead of only asking Him, let’s think about what we can offer Him. What have we accomplished in our lives that would make Him happy?
