“The Apostles said to the Lord, ‘Increase our faith.’” Such a wise and important prayer request the Apostles made - Lord increase our faith. They understood very well that they needed strong faith in order to follow Jesus and to be His faithful disciples. They knew that they would go through many trials, rejections, persecution, and even death for Christ. They needed a very strong faith to be able to persevere. Have you ever prayed for strong faith? Have you ever asked God: please increase my faith, Lord, because you know how difficult it is to be a Christian in this world today. We must pray often like those Apostles and repeat: Lord increase my faith, especially when I don’t understand, when I am tempted, when I face rejection, war and death. ‘Increase my faith.’
