Jesus tells us today: “do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul.” I find these words very encouraging because they help confirm my belief that our souls will live forever. Yes, our bodies are destroyable. We all know that. We see our bodies changing, getting weaker and older and one day the body just dies, but our souls can’t be destroyed, can’t be killed. Also, our souls are not aging. We are so blessed that even though we were created with a body that one day will be destroyed, we still have a soul that will never change. We will live forever.
