“Jesus said to his disciples: I tell you, everyone who acknowledges me before others the Son of Man will acknowledge before the angels of God.” There are many opportunities for us to acknowledge Christ before others, but do we take advantage of them? I am always touched when I see someone walking by the church, stopping and making a sign of the cross, or saying a short prayer. Or when I am in a restaurant and see a family that prays together before their meal. Or those who are not afraid to defend their beliefs in Jesus Christ and stand up for Jesus’ teaching, despite others’ disagreement. As you know, there are places in the world where Christians risk their lives by acknowledging Christ. Most of us don’t have to worry about that. However we are at times still afraid to talk about Jesus, to protect His teaching and be proud of our faith and beliefs. We are called to acknowledge Jesus before others.
