There are times in life- as you know- when everything goes well, when you have a successful career, a nice place to live, a wonderful loving family and good friends. What more to dream for, right? We all wish for ourselves and for our loved one to be well and happy, nothing wrong with that. And we also pray for all good gifts, asking God to provide us with what we need in this life. But unfortunately there will be times, or maybe they are now for you, when you might struggle financially, or your marriage is falling apart, or maybe your loved one just passed away, and your child got caught in an addiction. We all know that this life brings lots of joy but also many tears. That’s why Jesus is telling us today to pray not only for all of the good gifts, but also for faith and strength when the challenging times hit us. “Be vigilant at all times and pray that you have the strength.”
