What is your image of God? How do you portray Him? When we pray to God, many of us like to close our eyes and try to see Him, see His face just like we see another person. And we know well that God has no gender, God, has no physical body. He probably looks like no one can even imagine. The disciples in the Gospel reading today ask Jesus to show them God; they too wanted to see Him and probably imagined Him like we do. But Jesus said that: “If you know me, then you will also know my Father.” I think it’s not important what image of God we have in our heads, we can see Him however we like. But the most important thing is to realize that if we know Jesus, we also know God. Jesus is God, and because we know Jesus, then we know that God is loving, forgiving, understanding, helping, and always wants what is best for us.
