Mother Teresa of Calcutta once said: “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.” Our mission is to bring a smile to others by our good deeds. And as Mother Teresa said, we may not be able to do some extraordinary great things, but we can express our love to those who are around us. We read today in the gospel that “Jesus went around to all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the Gospel of the Kingdom, and curing every disease and illness. At the sight of the crowds, his heart was moved with pity for them because they were troubled and abandoned, like sheep without a shepherd.” And then He chose and sent His disciples to spread His love to others. This is now our mission. We are Jesus’ disciples, and He is sending us to do small things with great love.
