Some time ago, a person came to me after Mass and said that there was in the church a man who left his wife, his family, that he has been away from the church, that he lives a very sinful life. She was scandalized by that person’s presence in the church. Obviously, we shouldn’t exclude anyone from our community; every person, even the worst sinner, has a chance for conversion. We should often pray for the conversion of sinners, but most of all we should pray for ourselves to follow Christ and to be faithful to His teachings. In the gospel reading today, the disciples were anxious to find out who will betray the Lord. I loved Jesus answer “What concern is it of yours? You follow me.”
