As we approach the end of another liturgical year, once again we are being reminded about the second coming of the Messiah at the end of the times. That would be the final coming when God’s Kingdom will conquer all evil forever. OK, but we have heard that just the year before, and two and five and 20 years before that; yet nothing happens. And probably we will hear it again next year around this time, and maybe for many more years. So, is Christ really coming? And why won’t he reveal to us the time and the way of His coming? And because many Christians have had and will have doubts like this, they simply stopped caring. More than that, they stopped believing. However, it is not about how or when it will happen: it is about keeping strong faith and being ready. Only those who, despite all doubts and question, keep strong faith and so will be saved. Therefore, Jesus asks that simple but important question: “But when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?” Will He? Will He still find that faith in you and me?
