Saturday of the Twenty First Week in Ordinary Time ‘b’

This well-known parable about the talents given by the master to his servants reminds me today that there is never too little that I have received from God that can’t be multiplied and shared with others. Sometimes I look at other people and admire their talents, skills, and what they were able to accomplish in life. Sometimes I even envy others. However today the Lord reminds us that each one of us, no matter who we are, where we live, how old we are - we all have received at least that one talent from God. We just need to discover what that talent is, and then multiply it for the glory of our God. “For to everyone who has, more will be given and he will grow rich; but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.”
