Saturday of the Twenty- nineth Week in Ordinary Time ‘c’

Writer's picture: Fr. KrisFr. Kris

Even the greatest sinner of this world has time to change his or her life. We all have time to repent, to change for the better, to ask for God’s mercy and forgiveness. Some of us have taken advantage of this time already, and so we try to live a good humble life. according to Christ’s teaching, yet some think that there is plenty of time ahead for them. Perhaps we do have many years ahead of us, but will we take advantage of this time and repent? Will we take Jesus’ warnings seriously, that the time for making my life better is only here in this life, on this earth? Because after that -- it’s over. After this life I will be judged for the things I have done within the time that was given to me here. How much time do I have left? How much time do you have left? Nobody knows -- so let’s take Jesus’ warning seriously and start making changes in our lives, especially if we know that something needs to be changed and fixed. Not tomorrow, not next month -- but today, right now. “But I tell you, if you do not repent, you will all perish as they did!” (Galileans)
