Solemnity of the Nativity of John the Baptist

You won’t win against the will of God. You can fight all you want but you won’t win with Him. And we may have many plans for our future and the future of our children, and then we realize that all of our plans have changed, that the course of our life, so well planned, was not the way we intended or planned. That is simply because our plans are not always God plans for us. We may battle with Him, but in the end He will win. Even if we rebel and don’t understand why certain things are happening to us, there will come a day when we will fully understand and admit, just like John the Baptist’s father Zechariah, why God wanted us to follow His plan and His direction. Zechariah had his own plans for his son, he didn’t even want to name him John. But eventually it was God who decided. I think that instead of fighting with the will of God, we need to accept it and trust that is for the best.
