The 6 day in the Octave of Christmas

We are still celebrating Christmas. Today is only the 6th day in the Octave of Christmas, but this joyous season continues until the feast of the Baptism of Jesus. But I have noticed that some people have already taken down their Christmas decorations. Another holiday is over; we celebrated, so now is the time to go back to our ordinary lives. How sad this is. And it is not about Christmas decorations or nativity songs on the radio, but about sharing the news that God came to us and became one of us and dwelt with us and all humanity. We are the people of the Nativity that bring joy to this broken world. God came to us, like one of us, in the form of a child. He came to us because He loves us. No matter when the season of Christmas ends, we should carry that joy of the Nativity all the days of our lives. Just like the prophetess Anna: “she gave thanks to God and spoke about the child to all who were awaiting the redemption of Jerusalem.”
