The Seventh Day in the Octave of Christmas

Writer: Fr. KrisFr. Kris

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. All things came to be through him, and without him nothing came to be.” Isn’t it great that we have a God that loves us so much to the point that He decided to become one of us? He has not only created us and this world, but He came as He promised to experience all that we experience. In most religions, God is someone untouchable, far away, looking at people from the distance. But we have a God who came to us, who chose the form of a simple vulnerable child so that, just like each one of us, He would go through his life with all its joys and sadness until the death on the cross. I think that we often don’t appreciate enough this fact, that we have a God who loves and cares about you and me. I like how beautifully saint John the Evangelist presents us with the History of our Salvation.
