The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity

Jesus said: “God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him.” I must tell you that when I was much younger and growing up in Poland and learning the Catechism and my faith, I had the image of an angry God, who is just waiting for my mistakes so He could punish me for them. Not exactly sure why I felt like that, but I was afraid of committing any sins because I believed that God would get angry at me or even punish me. How wrong I was. Today I know that God loves me no matter what and that He sent His only Son that I might not perish but might have eternal life. Yes, I do sin, we all do at times, but that doesn’t make our God angry, it only makes Him sad. He will not punish us for that, but He will forgive us and love us even more.
