The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity

Writer: Fr. KrisFr. Kris

The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity -- the mystery of our God that is beyond our understanding. One God in Three Persons. Many theologians tried to comprehend this mystery, but it simply can’t be understood by us. But do we have to understand it? I think we only need to believe it, namely, that what our God is telling us is true. Every time we make the sign of the cross, we acknowledge that we do believe in The Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, that the three of them are one, united with love stronger than anything else. I think what Jesus said at the end of today’s gospel reading is so comforting and important. He said: “And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.” Whenever you make that simple sign of the cross, you are being blessed not only by God, not only by Jesus, the Son, not only by Holy Spirit, but by all Three. You are being blessed by the Holy Trinity, until the end of the age.
