Thursday after Ash Wednesday ‘b’

When we are born into this life, we come here naked, without anything. And there is no exception; we all come into this world in the same way. Then going through this life, we gain things, more and more, and then we get attached to certain things. And then after this life, we still leave the earth without anything. The thing is that you may be a very rich or a very poor person, but no matter how much you have collected in this life, you can’t take it with you. When a person dies, or as we say - is being born to eternal life – he is being born naked again, leaves this world without anything. However, today Jesus reminds that there are some things that we can and even should bring with us - and these are our good deeds, the love that we shared with others, our humble way of living filled with great faith. Because “what profit is there for one to gain the whole world yet lose or forfeit himself?” We all hear about those super-rich people on this planet, but they will not be able to bring anything after they die. We can only bring with us our good deeds and our love.
