Jesus says today: “I say to you, among those born of women there has been none greater than John the Baptist.” Powerful words! John was so great because in whatever he did, he was a very humble man. He had many followers, people listened to him, and were baptized, and they confessed their sins. So, John could have everything of this world. But he was humble enough to show people The Christ. He was humble enough to say: it is not about me, I am nobody; Christ is coming after me, and He is the one you need to follow. We too are called to bring others to Christ and we too need to learn that humility from John the Baptist and to be able to say -- it is not about me, I am only a tool in God’s hands, I am only here to show you the way to Christ.
