Jesus said: “The harvest is abundant, but the laborers are few; so, ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest.” The same words are written on the wall of the chapel in the seminary in Krakow, where young people are in formation preparing them for priesthood. These words were supposed to remind us that we need to pray and ask God for vocations, to give us good and holy priests, who would continue to serve in His Church. We all know that we need more priests, and there are places in this world where people would do anything in order to have the Eucharist, but they can’t because of the lack of vocations. The harvest is indeed abundant, but the laborers are only few. We pray and ask for many things, but Jesus encourages us today to pray also for vocations.
